Guess the Time
About the game and how to play
Guess the Time puts your inner clock to the test. The host starts a hidden stopwatch that secretly stops at a random moment somewhere between a few milliseconds and ten seconds. Nobody knows when. Once it stops, everyone guesses how much time passed, in seconds, and the closest guess scores.

How to play
- The host presses Start the Clock — after a 3-2-1 countdown the hidden stopwatch starts.
- It stops at a random moment — try to feel how long it ran.
- Enter your guess in seconds.
- The guess closest to the real time wins the round.
Tips
- Start counting the instant the host starts the clock: it can stop after as little as 0.02 seconds, and a late start throws off the whole guess.
- Count seconds in a steady rhythm you have practised, and when the clock stops, judge how far into the last second it got.
- Enter your answer as seconds:hundredths, so 03:56 means 3.56 seconds, not 3 minutes. For three and a half seconds type 03:50, because 03:5 is read as 3.05.
- Practise in Solo mode: it grades every attempt (exact, within 0.05, 0.2 or 0.5 seconds) and keeps your best result and your average error.
Frequently asked questions
How long can the hidden stopwatch run?
Anywhere from 0.02 to 10 seconds, chosen at random in steps of a hundredth of a second, so an exact guess is possible. Nobody, not even the host, knows the time until the round ends.
What happens if two players are equally close?
Whoever submitted their guess first wins the round. Each player gets only one guess per round, and it cannot be changed once sent.
How do I type my guess?
Type seconds and hundredths separated by a colon, for example 07:25 for 7.25 seconds. Accepted answers run from 00:02 to 10:00.
Can I play Guess the Time on my own?
Yes. In Solo mode you start the hidden clock yourself and guess, with a grade for each attempt and your stats saved on this device. Online rooms need at least 2 players, because the host starts the clock and does not guess.
