Color Guess tests your sense of colour and your visual memory. A colour appears on screen for a few seconds and then disappears. Rebuild it from memory using hue, saturation and lightness sliders. Your score depends on how close your colour is to the original.

How to play
- Study the colour carefully — it disappears after a few seconds.
- Drag the hue, saturation and lightness sliders to rebuild it.
- Hit Match when you are happy — you only get one shot per round.
- The closer the colours, the higher your score.
Tips
- Raise saturation first. Your guess starts as a neutral grey, and until saturation goes up the hue slider shows nothing but grey, so there is no colour to pick from.
- Spend most of your memory on the hue: it makes up half the score, with lightness at 30% and saturation at 20%. Naming the colour to yourself, like 'teal leaning blue' or 'brick red', helps it stick.
- Stay away from the extremes. Target colours always have fairly strong saturation (about 55–95%) and mid lightness (about 30–70%), so a very pale, very dark or greyish guess can't be right.
- Red sits at both ends of the hue slider. Because hue difference is measured around the colour wheel, a red or pink target can be matched from either end, so use whichever end you can fine-tune more easily.
Frequently asked questions
How is the match percentage calculated?
The game compares your colour with the original channel by channel and weights the differences: hue counts for 50%, lightness for 30% and saturation for 20%. Hue is measured the short way around the colour wheel, so the biggest possible hue miss is 180 degrees.
What do the Easy, Normal and Hard levels change?
Only how long you get to see the colour: 6 seconds on Easy, 4 on Normal and 2 on Hard. Scoring and the sliders are the same on every level.
What counts as a good Color Guess score?
97% or more is rated a perfect match and adds to your Perfects count, 85% or more is excellent and 70% or more is a good match. Your statistics also keep your best and average match.
Is there a daily colour to guess?
No, Color Guess has no daily puzzle or archive. Every round picks a new random colour, you can play as many rounds as you like, and the result screen shows both colours side by side with their values.
