About the game and how to play
Wordle is the word puzzle where you find a hidden word in a limited number of tries. After each guess the letters change colour: green means the letter is in the right spot, yellow means it is in the word but somewhere else, gray means it is not in the word. On GameBox.az you can play Wordle in English and Azerbaijani, and race your friends in an online room to see who cracks it first.

How to play
- Type a valid word and submit it.
- Read the colours: green is the right spot, yellow is the wrong spot, gray is not in the word.
- Use those hints to make a better next guess.
- Find the word before you run out of tries — the fewer guesses, the better.
Tips
- Duplicate letters count: if you use a letter twice and one copy turns yellow or green while the other turns gray, the word contains that letter exactly once.
- In a room, players are ranked by number of attempts first and time second, so a well-thought-out guess beats a fast, careless one.
- In the Azerbaijani version, ə, ı, ö, ü, ç, ş and ğ are separate letters with their own keys — a gray “e” doesn’t rule out “ə”.
- As host, tune the difficulty with word length (4–7 letters) and attempts (5, 6 or 7), and set the timer to Unlimited for a relaxed game.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a daily Wordle on GameBox.az?
No, every game draws a new random word, so you can play as many rounds as you like. Everyone in the same room gets the same word.
Can I play Wordle with words that aren’t 5 letters long?
Yes, when creating a room you can set the word length to 4, 5, 6 or 7 letters. The number of attempts can be 5, 6 or 7.
How is the winner decided when racing friends?
Whoever solves the word in the fewest attempts wins, with the faster time breaking ties. The round ends when everyone has finished or the timer (1–10 minutes, or unlimited) runs out.
What happens if I enter a word that isn’t in the dictionary?
With “Real words only” on, which is the default, the word is rejected and you don’t lose an attempt. The host can switch it off to allow any combination of letters.
