The Floor
About the game and how to play
The Floor is a fast quiz game inspired by the TV show. In a duel two players race on chess clocks: name the flag correctly to pass the clock to your opponent, while a wrong answer costs you 4 seconds. In Blitz everyone answers their own questions at the same time and the weakest score of each round is knocked out.

How to play
- Create a room, invite your friends and pick a mode: Duel or Blitz.
- Name the country of the flag on screen as fast as you can.
- A correct answer passes the clock; whoever’s clock hits zero loses the duel.
- The last player standing on the floor takes the crown.
Tips
- In a duel your clock only runs on your turn, so answer as soon as you recognise it. A wrong pick costs 4 seconds but brings a new question, which is often cheaper than staring at one you do not know.
- In the flags category at least one wrong option comes from the same continent, so check the details, such as emblems, stripe order and colour shades, before you tap.
- In Blitz a wrong answer costs no time and only matters as a tiebreak, so keep up the pace; but if you are level on correct answers with someone, the player with more mistakes goes out.
- The correct answer is shown after every question and spectators see the same prompt as the players, so watching other duels while you wait is useful practice.
Frequently asked questions
Which categories can you play in The Floor?
Flags are the default, and the host can also choose logos, football clubs, footballers, car brands, animals, and movies from emoji clues. There are photo categories too: real footballer photos, real brand logos, real car badges and famous movie scenes.
What happens after you win a duel?
You stay on the floor and face the next challenger in the queue, and both players start that duel with a full clock again. The playing order is shuffled at the start of every game.
How is the player knocked out in Blitz decided?
At the end of each round the player with the fewest correct answers is eliminated, and ties go against whoever made more mistakes. Exactly one player leaves per round until a single champion remains.
How long are the clocks, and how do you answer?
The host sets the duel clock to 30, 45 or 60 seconds per player and Blitz rounds to 15, 20 or 30 seconds. You answer every question by tapping one of four options.
